Now, this is a strange one. Suddenly, my Task Runner Explorer in VS2015 stopped loading Sass with this error:
“Node Sass could not find a binding for your current environment”
Not the right solutions
VS gives you a helpful suggestion along with the error: “Run `npm rebuild node-sass` to build the binding for your current environment.”
So you do that and everything is fine, right? WRONG. It doesn’t help.
Also the trouble shooting guide at “https://github.com/sass/node-sass/blob/master/TROUBLESHOOTING.md#using-node-sass-with-visual-studio-2015-task-runner” has a section about “Debugging installation issues”. So you try that. Doesn’t help either.
But, then, on the bottom of that same guide you see this: “Using node-sass with Visual Studio 2015 Task Runner”
Now, you’re in luck. Switching the external web tools to use the system wide installed versions, does actually help. After following the description on the linked page (“https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/webdev/2015/03/19/customize-external-web-tools-in-visual-studio-2015/”), Task Runner Explorer loads your sass module again!
